Beautifully Unique is a full service Mastectomy Boutique, carrying an extensive line of Post-Operative Camisoles, Mastectomy Bras, Breast Forms, Bathing Suits, Sleepwear, Scarves, Hats, Purses and so much more.
While their warm and inviting store is filled with bras and accessories for every type of woman, not just those affected by breast cancer, the “so much more” is really their specialty.
Beautifully Unique is owned and operated by Helena Borski (Certified Mastectomy Fitter), along with her partners Debbie Laure (Certified Mastectomy Fitter), and 21-year inflammatory cancer survivor, Debbie Hnilo (BOC Certified Mastectomy Fitter). Having a staff who know what it’s like to go through breast cancer makes for a welcoming and safe experience for their patrons.
As you walk in you’re greeted by the Hope Net, a growing art piece made up of ribbons tied as a symbol of reflection and remembrance.
The women at Beautifully Unique make it known that this is a safe space for all those affected by breast cancer to come and feel pretty, and their certified fitters are able to measure and fit you for your needs. “Having a fitting can be a very intimate situation,” Debbie Laure, Retail Manager of Beautifully Unique explains, “so we have private fitting rooms for our guests. We want to make sure our spaces are accommodating to every type of client.” The spacious and cozy fitting rooms are equipped with places for guests as well as multiple mirrors for personal viewing.
Beautifully Unique also provides pieces for those in need that have been donated by the community; as well as hosting support groups for the community to share stories and create relationships.
Beautifully Unique holds support groups for Women Cancer Partners every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 6:15 PM – 7:30 PM at their store at 2004 Inverway Ct. Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
They will also be having a support group for all area groups Thursday, October 20th at 6pm at their store. They will be providing dinner and desserts!
