Bob and Kay's standard is the first location in Kalamazoo to provide E85 fuel. E85 is a mixture of up to 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. It may only be used in "flex-fuel" vehicles with engines specifically designed to burn the higher octane fuel. The blend may damage other engines.

Ethanol is primarily manufactured from corn but may also be derived from other renewable resources such as wheat straw, wood pulp, wood chips or any other starch-containing product.

Bob and Kay's is the 13th station in Michigan to offer E85 fuel to consumers. Cleanfuel USA, the manufacturer of the high ethanol blend is promoting the development of 26 E85 sites in Michigan.
